Many thousands of asthmatics and those with other breathing difficulties have experienced remarkable improvements in their condition under the Buteyko Method. This amazing method has allowed them to reduce or eliminate their dependency on medication, and enjoy a quality of life they previously thought impossible. The Buteyko Method was featured on the 2002 Pride of Britain awards, and was also the subject of a debate by the UK Parliament on 25 June 2002. Buteyko has been featured on a number of television programmes including BBC's QED, Channel 4's Richard & Judy show and BBC's Inside Out.
The Buteyko Method is able to help a variety of breathing related conditions including asthma, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, chronic cough, emphysema, rhinitis, sinusitis, hayfever, allergies, snoring, sleep apnoea, anxiety symptoms, migraine, insomnia, chronic fatigue syndrome, poor circulation, restless legs, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and chronic obstructive airways disease (COAD). Buteyko can assist in stress management and can also lead to enhanced sports performance and an improvement in general health.
